HackerEarth Simplifying Technical Recruitment Process
With the aim of making technical recruitment simple and efficient, two IIT Roorkee graduates – Sachin Gupta and Vivek Prakash, who came up with HackerEarth has set an example in the in the field of recruitments. Established in 2012 with its head operating office at Bengaluru within a span of just two years HackerEarth was able to secure fundings too.
About its workings:
HackerEarth provides solutions for the technical recruitment space – one is an online assessment tool which is used by organizations to assess both internal and external candidates. Another solution acts as an engagement platform for companies when sourcing employees.
HackerEarth’s assessment tool also allows recruiters to quickly and automatically filter developers, using skill based assessment tests. People come and participate in the tests and based on their performance candidates are shortlisted. The firm claims that a recruiter can save time by automating the assessment process. During 2014, the firm had secured $500,000 from startup incubator AngelPrime, with participation from existing investor GSF Accelerator.
HackerEarth today is the fastest growing community of developers in the world. Developers engage on the community to learn new programming concepts, improve their technical skills, discover relevant jobs, and compete in programming challenges. HackerEarth also provides a platform for recruiters to discover the best technical talent through its network of developers. By democratizing talent sourcing, HackerEarth is making it more objective and skill driven – where each of its developers are indexed and ranked by their skills and automatically validated by mining their online social and professional data.
Owned and operated by Bangalore-based CareerStack Innovation Pvt Ltd, HackerEarth has already partnered with companies such as Wipro and Pearson to host hackathons as part of their inter-company engagement.
