Happiest Minds appoints Sashi Kumar to CEO and MD posts

Bangalore based IT company, Happiest Minds Technologies, today announced that it has appointed Sashi Kumar as its CEO and MD. Over the past 23 years of his career, which he initially began at Wipro, Kumar held various leadership positions at Microsoft, SAP and CSC.

While welcoming Kumar to his new post, Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman of Happiest Minds, said, “Sashi’s experience in global products and services companies will provide a tremendous push towards bringing innovation to Happiest Minds in a world of productized services and solutions. Happiest Minds focuses on disruptive technologies, a strategy that has resonated well with customers. In addition to establishing operations in the US, the UK, Singapore and Australia, the company has set several records for an Indian IT services company in the 3 years since its launch, with a run rate of $50 million, 94 customers and 1450 people. Happiest Minds has also secured a $52.5 million Series-A funding led by Canaan Partners, Intel Capital and Ashok Soota, and has set a goal to go public within 7 years from its launch.

Happiest Minds says it enables Digital Transformation for customers by delivering a smart, secure and connected experience through disruptive technologies such as mobility, big data analytics, security, cloud computing, social computing, M2M/IoT and unified communications. The company made the observation that businesses are increasingly embracing these technologies to implement Omni-channel strategies and manage both structured and unstructured data while making real time decisions based on actionable insights in a secure manner.
