Royal Challengers Bangalore partners with Uber

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Uber have entered into a partnership to provide game time transportation to Bangalore’s cricket fans. The two organizations say that RCB fans can now request an Uber cab at the push of a button and an air conditioned car will transport them to the stadium for as low as Rs.7/KM.

RCB has not only been the first to make the entire stadium fully WiFi enabled and solar powered, it has now taken another step that is says is to ensure that fans have the opportunity to commute safely to and from the stadium.

Russell Adams, Vice President of Commercial Operations and Cricket Academy at Royal Challengers Bangalore commented on the partnership, “We are delighted to associate with Uber for a one-of-a-kind partnership in our endeavor to provide an unmatched viewing experience for our fans. I am hoping the vast legion of RCB fans will benefit from this winning partnership and ride responsibly and take an Uber to and from the Chinnaswamy Stadium to cheer the team.”

Bhavik Rathod, Uber’s General Manager for Bangalore, added, “Partnering with Bangalore’s home team, Royal Challengers is truly exciting for Uber. Our goal is to bring safe, reliable and convenient rides to Bangalore and this partnership goes a long way in delivering an amazing experience to RCB fans. With all the parking hassle that comes with game days, we want fans to enjoy the game without any worries.”

For a few lucky fans, Uber says it also has a bunch of match tickets to distribute before every game, besides some signed official RCB swag and a chance to meet RCB players in person.
